For several years Hamid was the National team coach and Head National Coach for his native country Iran. As a First Place University National Champion Hamid competed with South Korea, Bulgaria, Greece, Germany, Egypt, China, and USSR. As an International Competitor, he earned a total of 97 (Gold, Silver, and Bronze) medals. He was also a Certified Coach at the Physical Education Institute of Moscow USSR. For a total of 16 years and 4 Olympics, Hamid served as an International Judge. Hamid has been confirmed by the F.I.G. for several Olympic Games. During this time as a Champion, Coach, and Judge, Hamid has traveled around the World and has improved the sport of gymnastics and many other sports. He is also safety certified by the U.S.A.G. for the past 12 years. Hamid helped develop an Elite: Level team in Virginia and for more than 6 years he was the Head Coach for Fun & Fitness Gymnastics Center in Burbank, CA. And at Canyon Country Gym, where he also taught all ages ranging from 1 year old to Adults.
Hamid has been instrumental in always training other coaches wherever he has been.s.
At present time Hamid is the Director of education and safety at Gymnastics World and also specializes in Jump and spin training for Figure Skater. He has trained over 80 figure skaters of all different levels from USFSA Pre Preliminary to Senior Elite. All training is individualized to their needs and is in conjunction with their figure skating coaches.
Hamid has worked with many different ice skating coaches from many different rinks which include; Pickwick Ice Center, Culver Ice, Panorama, North Hills, Simi Valley, Pasadena Ice Center, Glacial Gardens Anaheim, Glacial Gardens Lakewood, Costa Mesa, Paramount and Disney Ice.
